Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) Volunteer Program
Volunteering with ADCRR is an investment with great returns for yourself and others.

For many decades, ADCRR has relied upon volunteers to enhance existing programs and services available to our incarcerated. Currently, approved volunteers assist in areas such as educational programming, religious/faith-based services, 12 step/self-help programs, yoga, and mindfulness/meditation programs. ADCRR recognizes our volunteers as an integral and valuable resource. Accordingly, ADCRR provides an environment where our volunteers are valued and respected. We recognize your time is important and worthwhile and we strive to provide a variety of rewarding and educational volunteer experiences. Our volunteer program is part of how ADCRR offers opportunities and inspiration for change. Volunteers are known for bringing hope to our incarcerated. If you are interested in expanding your experience and/or sharing your knowledge in your current field(s) of expertise, then ADCRR is looking for you.

Volunteer Eligibility Requirements
 

Prospective volunteers must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Possess a valid government issued photo identification card
  • Not presently an approved visitor for any ADCRR incarcerated individual or waiting approval as a visitor
  • Not a family member, friend or relative of an ADCRR incarcerated individual
  • Be a part of an existing and approved volunteer group
  • Interview with volunteer group leader, senior chaplain, or volunteer coordinator
  • Complete required application materials
  • Undergo a thorough background check
  • Complete a TB test (two tests w/initial application/one test annually thereafter)
  • Successfully complete the Non-Department Personnel Orientation Course prior to volunteering
  • Read, understand, and adhere to the rules and policies set forth in DO 204 Volunteer Services
  • Annual Volunteer Renewal Training
  • If you are a previously incarcerated individual with a felony conviction, you must complete the Ex-Offender Certification and Employment Recommendation form for approval.

Note: Some volunteer positions may have certification or licensing requirements.

The best option for distributing a web-based Rise 360 course is to open it for editing, click Export in the upper right corner, select No LMS - Web Only from the LMS drop-down list, then click Export in the upper right corner again. You'll get a zip package containing all the files for your course. Just extract the zip package, upload the files to your web server, and give learners a link to the index.html file.
